Lucy Spring

Lucy Spring (Harding) is a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher, singer, actor, and small business owner.
Dancing for almost thirty years (B.F.A. Dance, magna cum laude, George Mason University) and singing for a decade (Mario Spinetti / Jennifer Randall M.M.), Lucy has performed with Arena Stage (Disney's Newsies), marInspired; The Storytellers at Salvatore Capezio Theater (breakable/Capezio A.C.E. Awards), The American Pops Orchestra (You Spin Me 'Round), Ethno World Orchestra, Inc., Triple Arts Broadway Series, and George Mason University Dance Company at Center for the Arts & Hylton PAC. She is trained in musical theater, contemporary, jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, swing, hip hop, pointe, acrobatics, and improvisation. She received the 2017 Bette Carter Award in Dance and 2016 Triple Arts Broadway Series Scholarship.
Choreographing and teaching for 13 years, Lucy has created original works for CureFest for Childhood Cancer, National Cherry Blossom Festival, George Mason University Dance Company, Colgan Center for the Fine & Performing Arts (The Little Mermaid), BAM Theater (Seussical Jr.), and various studios, schools, workshops, and film projects. She has also assisted in pre-production choreography for Signature Theatre (Grand Hotel) and Olney Theatre Center (Evita). In 2018 she received an Industry Dance Awards Choreography Nomination.
Aside from her love for the performing arts, Lucy has a passion for the visual arts and is the creator of
Pieced Together Designs, her handmade arts and crafts business. She sells handmade greeting cards, gift bags, rustic farmhouse decor, and other craft items.
Currently, Lucy is the Director of Competition Team at Nova Elite Dance Alliance, judges with Empire NDC, teaches both private and group dance lessons at dance studios, and provides college dance prep training for high school students. She will be performing at The American Music Theatre this winter as a dancer in their holiday spectacular, Joy To The World. Lucy looks forward to sharing her love for both the performing and visual arts with others and hopes that her artistic passions can bring her audiences joy!
